ELSKC's 1st KYU GRADING with Sensei Y. Ohta (Chief Instructor JKA England)

Sunday 8th July 2007 - Tottenham Green Leisure Centre

Sensei Ohta recieved a warm welcome back to the Turkun-Do dojo in North London on Sunday. Awaiting his prescence were some 45 ELSKC & Turkun-Do students that were ready for their kyu grade examinations.

As this was our first kyu gradings since opening the new club in East London, the students were extremely brave to undertake their first kyu grade test since joining some three months ago. Myself and Sensei Jyoti were most impressed by their performances. All of our students showed good etiquette and manners during the exam proceedings.

A special mention to Mr. Ahmed Khelloufi and Ms. Pamela York for successfully double-gradng to 8th Kyu (RED-Belt). Keep it up!

Special thanks to Sensei Celal Akgul (our senior Sensei and mentor) for hosting the kyu gradings and for welcoming our students from the ELSKC.
